Jurgen Klopp has hinted at a summer clear-out at Liverpool and has reaffirmed that he intends to stay at Liverpool long-term.
Klopp said:
“At Dortmund it was clear, when I left I said, ‘something has to change here’, it was a different situation. If nobody tells me, I will not go…”
Maybe there is a point where we have to change other stuff.”
“We will see that. But again it’s something for the future, like the future in the summer, but not now.
“I am loyal but I am not too loyal. If you can then and go out and bring in another player to replace that makes sense. For both sides, good idea, it was a great time, see you later. If you cannot bring anybody in though you cannot move anybody out.”
It is reported that Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will leave in the summer when their contracts expire. Caomhin Kelleher has also hinted that he may leave in search of first team football also.
