Jurgen Klopp has provided a positive update on Luis Diaz.
The Liverpool boss confirmed the Colombian will begin warming up next week.
“It’s estimated he will be warming up next week, then maybe a week later team training.”
Klopp spoke to the media ahead of the Wolves game tomorrow night.
Luis Diaz picked up a recurrence of an injury during Liverpool’s mid season training camp in Dubai in December.
Klopp had said prior to the injury Diaz was in fine form.
“The two sessions he had in Dubai, it was like oh my God, how good is that? Then he was injured again. How quick I don’t know. There is no time for being patient, but we have to be patient.”
Liverpool desperately need some firepower up front after some lacklustre performances in front of goal. With Diaz set to return in the coming weeks it comes at a welcome time for the Reds.
