Jordan Henderson is not in the business of revenge against Wolves tonight, and only has three points on his mind.
Writing in the official matchday programme, Henderson stated, “The points we dropped at Molineux a few weeks ago were lost on the day and can’t ever be got back. Nor can we change the record books, which will always show a 3-0 win for Wolves”.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of lifting their performance tonight, and believes the team have improved drastically since the loss at Molineux.
But revenge is not on his mind, stating: “This isn’t about revenge. I always think it’s a mistake when the word ‘revenge’ is used in football.
“It is about us showing what we are about against an opponent which has shown what it is capable of.”
He also went on further to say “I have nothing but respect for what Julien Lopetegui and his players did on that day, and it is because of this respect that I know exactly how well we will have to perform if we want to get a better result this time around”.
Since that match, Liverpool have went on to beat Everton and Newcastle and got a point against Palace.
Wolves have been in mixed form since, beating Southampton, losing to Bournemouth and drawing with Fulham.
