Real Madrid have received a huge injury boost as they look toward their Champions League clash with Liverpool on Tuesday.

Miguel Ángel Díaz reported on Twitter that Toni Kroos and Aurelien Tchouameni missed Los Blancos’ latest training session with illness. But Carlo Ancelotti has received good news in the injury department, as Ballon D’or winner Karim Benzema has returned to training. Mundo Deportivo reported the news. Benzema went off the pitch with an injury during Madrid’s fixture with Elche in midweek.

The report states that Benzema took part in a solo session and is expected to be fit for the Liverpool game. The Frenchman has scored 16 goals this season.

Madrid come fresh off a 2-0 away win at Osasuna yesterday in La Liga and will face a newly confident Liverpool, who beat Newcastle 2-0 in the Premier League.
