Injury news: 5 players missing from Liverpool training

Liverpool still have reinforcements to come in for the run-in of the Premier League season.

Liverpool have enjoyed a resurgence in the form in the Premier League despite several injuries to key players.

The Reds will be hopeful the return of a few first team players will elevate the team’s momentum even more.

However, there are still 5 players on the injured shelf, with some due back sooner than others. The Liverpool Echo reported the list of absenes.

Luis Diaz did not train today or yesterday as Liverpool cautiously ease him back into full fitness. The winger will most likely return to action after the upcoming international break.

Thiago Alcantara was absent as the midfielder is still suffering from a hip issue that has kept him out of the last six games.

Joe Gomez did not train as he recovers from a hamstring injury picked up in the Champions League defeat to Real Madrid at Anfield.

Defender Nat Phillips was not spotted at the session and has not trained with the first team squad in the last three weeks.

Calvin Ramsay will not feature until next season as the young full-back recovers from surgery.

Klopp’s side travel to Bournemouth on Saturday lunchtime. Liverpool beat Bournemouth 9-0 earlier in the season at Anfield.
