Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park at the weekend to face Crystal Palace and will hope to respond quickly to their 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Patrick Vieira has not beaten Jurgen Klopp since since taking the Palace job and faces a difficult task in changing this at the weekend as Palace are likely to missing their star winger Wilfrid Zaha, according to The Athletic.

In good news for Palace fans, The Athletic report that left-back Tyrick Mitchell is set to play after sustaining an ankle injury against Brentford in the last round of fixtures. The injury is reported to be not as severe as initially thought.

Liverpool are still without Thiago Alcantara, Ibrahima Konate, Luis Diaz and Calvin Ramsay.

Defender Joe Gomez came off in the Madrid game with an apparent hamstring injury and looks highly unlikely to play at the weekend. Joel Matip is likely to take his place alongside Virgil van Dijk.
