Liverpool were victorious at Molineux yesterday with a 3-1 win against Wolves.
The Reds were behind at the break after Hwang Hee-chan made it 1-0 to Wolves but Klopp’s men turned the game around after the interval.
Mohamed Salah got two assists, setting up goals for Cody Gakpo and Andy Robertson but it was Luis Diaz who contributed enormously to the comeback after coming on for the second half.
The Colombian replaced Alexis Mac Allister at the break and played like a man possessed to try and turn the game around for his team.
Squawka reported incredible stats about Diaz from the game. (Below)
“Despite coming on at HT, no Liverpool player had more touches in the opp. box (11), contested more duels (10), had more shots (3) or made more tackles (3) against Wolves than Luis Diaz.”
Diaz was absolutely electric when coming on and has obviously made a case to start the next game against LASK in the Europa League and indeed against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
