GOAL journalist Neil Jones has today reported on Twitter that Liverpool youngster Luke Chambers is set to join Kilmarnock on loan until the end of the season.
The 18-year-old is well-regarded at Liverpool and can play left back or centre back.
Interestingly, Chambers was named as the penalty taker for some of his underage sides. He scored 9 goals from defense as a result in the 2020/21 season for the Liverpool U-18’s.
The youngster signed a new contract with Liverpool last summer and will hope to see regular first team football during his loan in Scotland.
In an interview with the club last summer, Kostas Tsimikas heaped praise on Chambers for his performances in pre-season training.
“This kid impress me a lot. He’s a very, very good player and always very focused in the training.”
“For me, my personal advice for him is to never stop dreaming and never stop working hard, because in football that’s the most important [thing]. I’m really sure the future is bright for him.”

Good prospect, left back/centre back who has been on the bench for first team and regularly done well for U21s/U19s. Chance to test himself now at senior level.#LFC 🔴 pic.twitter.com/GoH5sXDOY7
