Pep Guardiola named nine teams he believes wanted Manchester City out of the Champions League.
Guardiola spend this afternoon’s press conference defending Manchester City’s position despite saying they have already been ‘condemed’. Guardiola named Liverpool as one of the nine teams that reportedly wanted Manchester City out of the Champions League.
According to the Manchester City manager the teams wanted City’s Champions League spot, a spot they ‘earned on the pitch’.
“Nine teams: Burnley, Wolves, Leicester, Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Chelsea wanted us out of the Champions League, because they want that position. To take that position that we won on the pitch.”
🗣 "Just in case we are not innocent, we will accept what the judge or Premier League will decide."
