Liverpool head to the south coast on Sunday to face Bournemouth in the Premier League as they look to attack the second half of the campaign.
The Reds sit top of the league table with 45 points, three points clear of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Aston Villa while the Cherries currently lie 12th in the standings and have lost just one of their last nine fixtures in all competitions.
Jurgen Klopp will be without a minimum of 10 players for the clash at the Vitality Stadium.
Thiago Alcantara, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak, Joel Matip, Andy Robertson, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Kostas Tsimikas are all on the treatment table through injury.
Wataru Endo and Mohamed Salah, who suffered a muscle strain this week, are currently unavailable as they are participating in the Asian Cup and Africa Cup of Nations respectively.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the game, Klopp said, “They are all positive but not ready.”
“But they are all going in the right direction, getting closer and closer and closer. Some of them might be in kind of part of team training next week.
“But for the Bournemouth game I don’t expect anybody back. I hope nobody [else] will be out until then.
“But after Bournemouth, maybe for Fulham, we will see how the boys do. But they are all close. Trent close, Dom close, Robbo close. All going in the right direction, that’s all positive, but for the weekend’s game, no.”
The German hinted that Alexander-Arnold, Szoboszlai, Andy Robertson, and Kostas Tsimikas could return to training next week. Alcantara and Bajcetic are also expected to resume first-team training at the end of the month.
Liverpool have previously secured a victory at the Vitality Stadium earlier this season, triumphing over Bournemouth with a 2-1 scoreline in the EFL Cup fourth round.
Cody Gakpo and Darwin Núñez were the goal-scorers for Liverpool on a wet and windy night, while Justin Kluivert found the net for the Cherries.
