Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool conducted a special press conference in light of the shock announcement that the German would be leaving at the end of the season.
It came as a great shock to everyone, with no indication that he was considering leaving so soon.
The announcement will devastate Reds fans around the world as Klopp is widely regarded as one of the best managers in world football.
FSG Chief Billy Hogan has spoken on how the Reds will go about appointing a new manager.
In Jurgen Klopp’s press conference, he said:
“We prefer to, at this club, to operate in private, when we are ready to talk about things when we will, until that time we won’t.”
“We won’t talk about other people. It won’t be a “name-game””
“We will go through the same process that brought us Jurgen almost nine years ago.”
“We will do it again in private, that will be done with the people who are here, our ownership, Mike Gordon in particular will part of the process.”
“When we get to a place when we have further news on that we will discuss it but it’s not going to be something that is a running commentary.”
