Although the summer transfer window has closed, Liverpool’s recruitment team remains active in finding the very best talent to bring to Anfield.
The Reds could do with a player or two in the January transfer window, especially if Jurgen Klopp and his team find themselves in a title race come the turn of the year.
Fabrizio Romano, writing for CaughtOffside, has revealed that the Reds are merely scouting West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen – amidst earlier reports that the Reds were interested in the England international.
The 26-year-old has been tipped for a move to Anfield in recent weeks. Bowen has started the season well, recording three goals and an assist in West Ham’s opening five games.
Romano wrote:
“Liverpool have been linked with Jarrod Bowen, but at the moment it’s very quiet, really,”
“There’s nothing concrete yet, just normal scouting activity but it’s something that top clubs always do, not only Liverpool. There’s nothing concrete yet with Bowen at this stage or any other player.”
So, it seems that all is quiet on the Bowen front, but if he continues his early season form there could be a queue of clubs vying for his signature in January – not only Liverpool.
Bowen scored the winning goal against Fiorentina in last year’s edition of the UEFA Conference League, helping his team to lift a European trophy in Prague.
