Liverpool have several players coming to the end of their contracts this summer, with Roberto Firmino already confirmed to leave upon the expiration of his deal in the next transfer window.
Two other players are also looking likely to leave this summer as their has been no discussion of contract extensions for either player.
The ever reliable Fabrizio Romano reported in his exclusive Daily Briefing for Caught Offside that Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are both unlikely to extend their stays at Liverpool beyond this summer.
“I expect both Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to follow Roberto Firmino and leave Liverpool on a free transfer this summer. James Milner will decide in the next months, he will speak to Jurgen Klopp too.
“For all the other players, it will be decided in May/June ahead of the transfer window. Firmino, Keita and Oxlade will explore options soon but nothing is decided yet.”

With Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain all but confirmed to depart the club, and Milner’s future uncertain, Liverpool will not only want to make multiple midfield signings to improve the team, they will be forced to sign midfielders just to make up bodies.
Juventus loanee Arthur Melo is also expected to return to Italy when his loan to Liverpool ends in the summer.
If Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Milner leave the club, Liverpool’s options in midfield will be captain Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, Harvey Elliott, Fabio Carvalho and Curtis Jones.
