Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano confirms that Liverpool explored options to sign Josko Gvardiol in January.
The Croatian international who applies his trade at Leipzig is on the radar of many elite European clubs.
In the Premier League, Romano says Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all looking to signing him at the end of the season.
He recently tweeted about the 20 year old centre back

Gvardiol has a release clause of £97m in the contact he signed last summer.
He first came to prominence with his outstanding performance in the World Cup.
He’s an excellent ball player, and he reads the game very well for such a young age.
