Fabrizio Romano has been discussing the latest on Liverpool transfer news ahead of what will likely be a summer transfer window for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp will bid goodbye to the Anfield club at the end of the season, meaning that any new manager will likely want to make one or two signings of their own.

Additionally, the likes of Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, and Adrian see their contracts expire at the end of the season, with no extensions on the horizon for any of the trio.

The Italian transfer guru has reported that the Reds are paying close attention to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt at present, while also mention one player that has been linked to Liverpool before.

What did Fabrizio Romano say about Liverpool’s Bundesliga interest?

Speaking in his latest Daily Briefing column, Romano mentioned Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush – although he asserted nothing is close or advanced:

“Omar Marmoush – The Egyptian winger has been linked with Liverpool, and I’m aware they have scouted Eintracht in general to monitor some players, but there is nothing imminent or close at this stage with Marmoush or any other player,” Romano said.

“Eintracht have not communicated a price yet for Marmoush, so we are at really early stages of this story.”

There is a question as to whether Mohamed Salah could play a part in convincing compatriot Marmoush to make the switch to Anfield.

The 25-year-old striker has managed 15 goals and six assists in 32 games across all competitions.

Marmoush arrived on a free transfer from fellow German outfit Wolfsburg, with Frankfurt ideally wanting to keep hold of the player for next season.

His contract expires in 2027, and if he keeps up his current pace of success, Eintracht Frankfurt might want to think about selling him in the summer.

It is believed that Frankfurt would want €50m to consider parting ways with their star striker in the summer.

Who else could Liverpool be monitoring?

Another player that the Reds could be eyeing is Willian Pacho – who has been linked to Anfield this week.

The 22-year-old defender only joined Eintracht Frankfurt during the summer transfer window, completing a €9 million transfer from Belgian team Royal Antwerp.

The Ecuadorian has been a key part of his side this season, making 39 appearances across all competition.

If he is to depart the Bundesliga side in summer, it is reported that he could cost between £42m and £51m.
