After beating their arch-rivals 7-0 the weekend before, you’d think that Liverpool would enter their contest against Bournemouth full of confidence and looking to build on their encouraging turn of form.

Jamie Redknapp, however, said they would have expected an easy ride against the relegation battlers and put in a pitiful display.

Jurgen Klopp’s players were underwhelming on the day and left the South Coast with zero points.

Former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp tore into Liverpool in a rant where he suggested that some Liverpool players did not want to play.

Three points seemed the only options for Klopp’s Liverpool side, especially with a challenging run of fixtures on the horizon.

They face Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal in their next three domestic fixtures, with the return leg at the Bernabeu their next stop.

Liverpool supporters will be hoping that this is just a small blip in their course to return to winning ways, but the Anfield faithful were just as displeased with their showing on Saturday afternoon.
