Mike Keegan revealed that Liverpool have pencilled in a pre-season friendly for Monday, August 7. The new Premier League season will kick off five days later on Saturday, August 12.
Liverpool have already asked for play their first game of the new season away from home as work continues on increasing the capacity at Anfield by 7,000 seats.
No opponent has been identified yet but it is believed the opponent will be from overseas.
