It’s been announced that Andy Madley will referee the huge clash between Liverpool and Man United this weekend.
Liverpool go into the game after defeating Wolves 2-0, and are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches.
Man United are still on a high after winning the Carabao Cup this weekend. They also progressed into the FA Cup quarter finals, beating West Ham 3-1 last night.
Madley was the referee at Anfield when Liverpool hosted Wolves in a 2-2 draw in the FA Cup.
The match was marred with late VAR controversy when Toti scored in the 82nd minute.
The goal was disallowed because Mattheus Nunez was flagged as offside, but there was no camera angle to suggest otherwise.
After the match, fans in the away end, as well as Wolves players and officials protested the decision made by Madley.
This season, Madley was the referee in Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Brighton, and their 2-2 draw with Fulham.
