Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has issued a transfer warning to Liverpool. Carragher has suggested that the main reason that Liverpool have gotten their recruitment right is because Jurgen Klopp has been able to get the most out of the signings the club has made. It is a fair point by Carragher.
Speaking to The Anfield Wrap as part of their new docu-series ‘JURGEN’ Carragher had the following to say:
“People always say, ‘oh, Liverpool always get their recruitment right’.
“Well, let’s see if Liverpool get their recruitment right when Jürgen Klopp leaves. Because there’s a big difference, you can still buy the same players but not be as successful.
“That’s something that I think we’ve all got to be mindful of the day Jurgen Klopp leaves the club, that he is more important than anyone in these players performing well, not whoever has bought the players in.
Liverpool will still attract good players, top players, because we pay top wages, we pay top fees. The fact that we get more out of our signings than possibly any big club anywhere right now is testament to Jürgen Klopp.”
It cannot be argued against that Klopp has maximised the potential of nearly all the signings who came to the club under his tenure.
After renewing his contract earlier this year Liverpool fans will be hoping that he can get the best out a few more players before he departs the club.
