Carlo Ancelotti speaks ahead of Liverpool game and provides Benzema update

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti that he believes Karim Benzema will be available to face Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday.

“I think Benzema will be available for Liverpool”, Ancelotti said at full time in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win against Osasuna.

The Italian confirmed that Toni Kroos will be available also. Kroos was ill last week and there was also doubt cast over his availability.

“Toni Kroos has returned to training.”

Ancelotti was asked about his side ahead of the crunch clash with Liverpool: “We’re fine. We had a last-minute problem with Tchouaméni. Kroos has resumed training, I think Benzema will be back on Tuesday… We’re arriving in a good dynamic. Little by little , the players will recover. We arrive with confidence.”

“At Anfield, Carvajal will play.”

Liverpool will have to be at their best to cope with Real Madrid’s quality in the middle.

“Modrić, Camavinga and Ceballos did an amazing job tonight”, Ancelotti said.

Camavinga put in a match of the match display against Osasuna.

Jurgen Klopp is showing no fear ahead of the tie. “Real Madrid is going to be tough — let me say it like this.

“But this is Anfield. And I can’t wait to be honest”, he told Sky Sports after Liverpool’s victory against Newcastle.
