“It’s great to see loyalty still exist in football”, that’s according to Newcastle striker, Callum Wilson.
He commneted on Roberto Firmino’s treatment in the 7-0 win over United on the Footballer’s Football Podcast:
“He’s still been such a legend for you guys [Liverpool]. And it was epitomised by the fans’ reaction the other day when he scored,”
“Everyone in the stadium, even the players, was so buzzing for him, it was a nice thing to see. That’s loyalty in itself. It just shows that it does still exist in football.”
Roberto Firmino’s announced last week that he will be leaving Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The cherry on the cake for Liverpool’s 7-0 thrashing of Man United was Bobby getting on the scoresheet.
