The Spaniard will be a welcome addition to Liverpool’s very new and fresh midfield. Thiago’s experience will be important this season as he and Wataru Endo are the only midfielders in the squad in their thirties.
Supporters will be delighted to see the return of young Stefan Bajcetic to the team. The 18-year-old’s emergence was a shining light in a fairly forgettable campaign last season.
Bajcetic and Thiago are both reportedly available for selection this weekend and are both likely to see plenty of minutes as the Europa League looms on the horizon.
