Andy Robertson has shared his views on Liverpool’s current ownership. The Scot was signed under the current ownership for a mere £8.5M.
His swashbuckling style has endeared himself to the Liverpool fanbase since his arrival.
He is now the joint first alongside Leighton Baines [53] in assists as a defender in the Premier League ever.
We can’t control anything [over ownership],” Robertson told the Liverpool Echo. “That is the way we think as a squad, that’s our view on it and we can’t control anything.
I think the owners we have got have been very successful at this club and if they want to move on or whatever then fair play to them. They have been nothing but good to me and nothing but good to this club in my opinion and yes, what happens will happen and we will try and sit back and control what happens on the pitch.”
Jurgen Klopp has praised FSG on numerous occasions in the past. However, his recent comments seem to suggest that he accepts that Liverpool may need new investment to compete with their rivals
Klopp on new investment: "From time to time you have to throw in proven quality. And in an ideal world, they are young as well and not 35. From time to time you have to take some risk. I have no idea what will happen but I am positive about it."
