Diogo Jota and his teammates endured a slow 45 minutes before they got going on the south coast against Bournemouth.

Jurgen Klopp’s men barely created any chances in the opening half, and the two sides went into the interval goalless.

However, like was the case with many matches this season, the Reds pushed the agenda in the second half and were rewarded for their bravery.

Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota both managed to secure braces to wrap up an emphatic 4-0 win for the visiting side.

The Reds are now once again five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Manchester City and Arsenal will have to respond now.

Although the reigning champions do have a game in hand over Liverpool.

Alexis Mac Allister’s new nickname for Diogo Jota

After dubbing Mohamed Salah ‘momito‘, Liverpool’s No.10 now has a new nickname for Diogo Jota.

Taking to Instagram, the World Cup winner commented, ‘the chubby one’ under Jota’s latest Instagram post.

While we can certainly speculate why Mac Allister has given Jota that nickname, it is surely not due to the Portuguese international’s fitness.

Jota has been in exceptional form this season.

He has recorded 15 goal contributions in 22 appearances across all competitions.

What makes it even more impressive is that many of his appearances will have come off the bench, highlighting his effectiveness as a game-changer.

Perhaps Mac Allister is referencing Diogo Jota’s affinity towards gaming. and FC24 in particular.

The 27-year-old has his own esport team called Luna Galaxy Esports and is known to play a lot of FC24 in his spare time.
