Liverpool have started the season well, picking up four wins and one draw in their opening five Premier League games.

Pep Guardiola has even recently said that Liverpool’s ‘mentality’ is back.

The club have now recently released a list of the most popular players according to shirt sales – and the top shirt seller may surprise you.

Dominik Szoboszlai is the highest shirt-seller this season, ahead of Anfield favorite Mohamed Salah.

Of course, there will naturally be some recency bias as the Hungarian is a new signing – but it still highlights just how much of an impact he’s made at Anfield so far.

The 22-year-old has shown his physical tenacity by covering the most distance out of any Liverpool player so far this season, and got his first goal for the club with a sumptuous half-volley against Aston Villa.

“Dominik Szoboszlai has been the pick of the bunch, for me. I hadn’t seen much of the lad while he was at RB Leipzig, but I have to say I’ve been so impressed by him, he hasn’t had a bad game yet!”, Paul Merson gushed after Liverpool’s victory at the Molineux.

It seems that many Liverpool fans agree with Merson judging by the amount of Szoboszlai shirts they have bought.

The other top five shirt sales went to Mohamed Salah, Alexis Mac Allister, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Darwin Nunez.
