It’s no secret that Liverpool have had an underwhelming season. However, with the right additions in the summer window, Liverpool are capable of a title charge in the 2023/24 Premier League season.

In signing any of these 5 players, Liverpool should be back in business.

Josko Gvardiol

Joško Gvardiol  is one of the best young centre halves in European football.  An excellent reader of the game and also gifted with his feet, Joško Gvadriol would be a terrific partner for VVD at the back.

He first came to prominence at the World Cup where he impressed for Croatia. He has kicked on since then, producing a masterclass against Haaland in the Champions League first leg for Leipzig.

Last summer, the German outfit rejected a £75m bid from Chelsea and you can see why. He will be another player to move for three figures this summer, no questions asked.

Allan St-Maximin

The speed and dribbling qualities of St Maximin will add another dimension to Liverpool next season. He has a certain style similar to that of Mane’s, something Liverpool have sorely missed.

This season he’s been in and out of the side for Newcastle mainly because of injuries.

With Gordon joining the Toon, competition for spaces in Newcastle’s front three is hotting up, so St Maximin may be available.

The price might be the only issue, as Newcastle do not need the money, and will want to keep a threat like St Maximin in their squad.

Jude Bellingham

The Dortmund teenager is the hottest young prospect in football, with all the big clubs wanting his signature.

It seems Bellingham has a soft spot for Liverpool though, and has an admiration of Klopp. Recently, it was reported that he’s   despite their recent drop in form.

A versatile box to box midfielder, with excellent passing abilities and leadership qualities, Bellingham is exactly the player Liverpool need to return to the top.

The only problem is his price tag, as Dortmund will be wanting to cash in, and have apparently slapped a £150m price tag on his head.

Declan Rice

Rice has been at the heart of West Ham’s midfield for years now, and you’d think it was time for him to move on. A player with great passing and a sound footballing brain, Rice would be the perfect fit for Liverpool.

We can only dream of both Rice and Bellingham arriving this summer, but either one will improve the Liverpool midfield exponentially.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also linked with the England international, so it might end up being a bidding war. Expect him to smash the British transfer record, but it would be an investment for the future for whichever club signs him!

Ruben Neves

The Portuguese maestro has been a quality player for Wolves in the past few seasons and would slot into Liverpool’s midfield perfectly.

He would be a much cheaper option than Rice or Bellingham as he is out on contract next summer. This means Liverpool could get Neves for as little as £20m.

He would bring his leadership qualities, as well as his long distance shooting, and wide array of passing. If Wolves are relegated, you’d think that he will want to leave, so a move to Anfield is definitely possible.
