Interest has grown for Lille’s Carlos Baleba with a series of Premier League clubs all sniffing around the young prospect, according to 90min.
Scouts were sent out to monitor Baleba by Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United Newcastle, West Ham United and Leicester, so the Reds will be in esteemed company if they wish to pursue a deal with the French club.
A price tag of £30m has been slapped on Baleba ahead of the opening of the summer window.
Baleba has been termed with “Amadou Onana 2.0” and seeing that Everton paid the same amount for Onana from the same club in the summer of 2022, it is no surprise the hive is building around this youngster.
The Cameroonian has not rocked the boat in Ligue 1, though, with only three starts and nine substitute appearances to his name so far this campaign.
Although the initial interest has been clocked, the likelihood of a big-money move for Baleba is minimal with a lack of experience a noticeable disadvantage.
Nonetheless, he is a player to definitely keep an eye on as he navigates his way to earning more minutes at Lille.
