Crystal Palace and Liverpool meet for the 51st time in the English league with Liverpool showing clear dominance with Liverpool only losing 11 games since 1969. Although Liverpool are coming off a devastating 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night Palace have not won a Premier League game in 2023. However, they have still managed to get some decent with draws against Manchester United, Brighton, Newcastle and Brentford.
Patrick Vieira’s men have been known to be a tough test in a late night kick off at Selhurst Park but this season the Eagles have only won 4 from 12 games at home. It looks close if their star man Wilfred Zaha will be fit to start which could prove to be a major boost for Klopp’s men. Zaha was the man to score the goal in the 1-1 result at Anfield earlier this season and has proved to be a real threat to Liverpool’s back line in previous fixtures.
Liverpool’s back four looked vulnerable against Real Madrid and with Klopp hinting that he will need to make changes after his side received a few knocks it could be a situation where dangerous players such as Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise could thrive.
