PREVIEW: Liverpool vs Aston Villa. What channel is it on? Predicted line ups?

Liverpool travel to Villa Park in hope of a much needed win after a lacklustre performance midweek against Manchester City in the league cup.

Aston Villa are set to be without Emiliano Martinez for Liverpool’s visit. 

Unai Emery confirmed this week that the World Cup Winner will not return to the UK until next week. Ibrahima Konate, who featured in the World Cup Final for France, has yet to return from his break.

Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander Arnold are set to return to the starting eleven. Roberto Firmino is set to miss out with a calf injury. James Milner is set to be ruled out with a hamstring injury. Curtis Jones is unlikely to return while long term absentees Luis Diaz, Artur and Diogo Jota are amongst those ruled out.

Liverpool have won the previous four meetings between both sides.

Liverpool will start the game in 6th position, seven points off the top while Villa are in 12th. Just four points off Liverpool although the Reds have a game in hand.

Philippe Coutinho is a doubt to face his former club with a thigh injury while Danny ings is likely to feature.

The game will be shown on Amazon Prime with coverage beginning at 5pm (KO 5.30pm).
