Liverpool will face Fulham in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at Craven Cottager on Wednesday evening.

The match is set to kick off at 20:00 GMT, with the Reds taking a slender one-goal lead heading into the clash.

After a spectacular 4-0 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League this past weekend, Jurgen Klopp’s side are feeling extremely optimistic.

However, Fulham will represent a stern challenge before Liverpool can say they’re on their way to Wembley.

The Cottagers have proved tricky customers the Reds so far this season.

In a back-and-forth Premier League game in December, Fulham managed to knock three past Liverpool at Anfield.

Before Trent Alexander-Arnold rifled in late winner to make the score 4-3, the Reds appeared to be losing that game.

Again, in the first leg, Willian drew opening blood before Liverpool managed to turn it around.

Andre Silva, speaking in a preview ahead of the game, referenced the two fixtures before, saying:

“They (Liverpool) are doing an amazing season, in terms of consistency they have been doing brilliant.”

“They have been consistent, it doesn’t matter who starts or not.”

“But at the same time, we have to be brave enough to play with the same courage we did the last two times we played against them to be honest.”

“In the last one-and-half months we’ve played two times against them.”

“We made it really, really difficult for them and for sure 100% they respect us.”

In terms of Liverpool injuries, the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Trent Alexander-Arnold are still out.

However, both could be in contention for Liverpool’s FA Cup tie against Norwich on January 28.

Meanwhile, Andy Robertson is set to be included in the matchday squad as he steps up recovery from his shoulder injury.

Kostas Tsimikas will also see this game come too early for his return.
