Welcome to today’s live match blog where Liverpool travel to the Amex stadium in search of a much-needed win.

Both sides have been named:

3PM KICK-OFF 

1′ – We are underway at the Amex stadium.

 

3′ – Free Kick. Adam Lallana is brought down by Andy Robertson at the edge of the box.

 

4′ – Gross’ free-kick is headed away by Fabinho for a corner.

 

8′ – Trent Alexander-Arnold clears it off the line after a March effort.

 

9′ – Mac Allister’s header from a corner goes straight into Alisson’s hands. Unchallenged header.

 

10′ – Brighton break down the right but a last-gasp effort from Trent Alexander-Arnold intercepts Brighton’s chance.

 

13′ – FOUL. Trent Alexander-Arnold concedes a free on the edge of the box after Matimo runs past him.

 

17′ – YELLOW CARD. Dunk picks up a needless yellow card after grabbing Gakpo’s shirt a long way from goal.

 

18′ – YELLOW CARD – Matip fouls Mitoma, who glides past him. Yellow for Matip. Matoma causing Liverpool trouble.

 

20′ – Alisson is down holding his neck after he was collided with off the ball by Colwill.

 

26′ – It takes Liverpool 26 minutes to get a shot off. Salah blazes over on his weaker foot.

 

28′ – After some neat play Salah runs at Colwill one-on-one, his cross is parried away by Sanchez. Liverpool can’t capitalise on the second ball.

 

29′ – Mitoma pokes it wide after a great pass by Colwill. Mitoma gets in behind Trent Alexander-Arnold but can’t get his effort on target.

 

31′ – YELLOW CARD. Henderson picks up a yellow after a late challenge on Caicedo. Caicedo looks in serious discomfort.

 

40′ – PENALTY. Alisson goes to ground and March makes the most of the slightest bit of contact.

 

41′ – NO PENALTY. March is ruled offside by VAR in the build-up.

 

44′ – Klopp is frantically issuing instructions to his team from the sideline.

 

46′ – Brighton break at pace, Caicedo puts March down the wing, March squares it to Ferguson who can’t trouble Alisson.

 

 

HALF-TIME – Liverpool are lucky to go into the half-time break level with Brighton.

SECOND HALF: 

 

46′ – We are back underway. Liverpool will need to improve drastically to get anything from this game.

 

47′ – GOAL. March puts Brighton ahead after sloppy defending from Joel Matip. March goes unmarked and slots it home at the back post.

 

51′ – Colwill goes down after a late challenge by Fabinho after the ball is cleared.

 

52′ – GOAL. March makes it 2-0 after a great pass by Ferguson to put March in behind the Liverpool defence.

 

54′ – Oxlade-Chamberlain can only head a timid effort into the ground after a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross.

 

65′ – YELLOW CARD. Alexander-Arnold picks up a yellow for a late challenge on Ferguson.

 

69′ – SUBS. Keita, Doak, Elliott, and Gomez replace Matip, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Fabinho.

 

76′ – Elliott fires wide from close range, dragged wide.

 

78′ – Gakpo can’t trouble Sanchez after a beautiful cross from Alexander-Arnold.

 

82′ GOAL – Welbeck makes it 3-0 after juggling the ball over Gomez’s head in the box.
