Jurgen Klopp cut a frustrated figure at full-time at the Amex Stadium. His side were second best all afternoon and Klopp gave some candid thoughts afterwards.
The Liverpool boss said “I can’t remember a worse game.”
Speaking at full-time Klopp said:
“Massively frustrated, congratulations to Brighton who played a super game against a bad opponent. We were really not good today. I can’t remember a good space period or whatever. Obviously tried to help the boys with a slightly different formation didn’t work out at all, my responsibility, I know that.
“It looked too easy for Brighton to be honest. It was just too easy in these moments and then you cannot get back in this game. So it was a well-deserved defeat and well-deserved win for Brighton.”
Klopp was asked how he is going to fix Liverpool’s problems.
“By organising it. By doing better than today should be easy because this is a really low point. I can’t remember a worse game. Maybe there was one, I hope not but it is today is a low point. So to improve that will be not too difficult but we have to make big steps, from this game today we can pick up so in nothing apart things which didn’t work.”
