Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has seemingly avoided any punishment for a perceived lack of respect towards the linesman during yesterday’s game.
Man Utd were utterly humiliated as Jurgen Klopp’s side smashed an astonishing seven goals past David De Gea.
Liverpool’s 7-0 victory was United’s worst defeat since 1931.
Bruno Fernandes, United’s captain on the day, cut an extremely frustrated figure and seemed to lose the run of himself over the course of the game as Liverpool piled on the goals.
At one point, Fernandes went to pick get the ball that was out of touch and seemingly pushed the linesman out of his way in a frustrated manner. It was not a good look for the Portuguese international.
The Mirror report that the FA Cup will take no action against Fernandes for his transgression.
Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag said after the game that he saw, “11 individuals losing their heads” during the game.
Erik Ten Hag: “The second half was unprofessional. I saw 11 individuals losing their heads.”
