After a slow start, Bournemouth have managed to get their season going – partly thanks to manager Andoni Iraola.

The Spaniard has been given time to implement his ideas on the south coast, and the Cherries are now reaping the benefits.

Iraola has managed to transform Dominic Solanke into a lethal finisher.

Solanke is only behind Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland in terms of Premier League goals scored this season.

The likes of Marcus Tavenier, Marco Senesi, and Ryan Christie have all benefited immensely from Iraola’s work and management.

Bournemouth have won four out of their last five Premier League games, including 3-0 wins against both Fulham and Manchester United.

Therefore, the Cherries will prove a tough task for Jurgen Klopp’s side at the Vitality Stadium come Sunday afternoon.

Bournemouth injury update

Andoni Iraola, like Jurgen Klopp, has a few players missing that he would love to include in his matchday squad.

It seems many clubs are suffering from injuries this season, with Liverpool and Bournemouth no exception.

Tyler Adams

USA skipper Tyler Adams had surgery on his hamstring back in October last year.

As a result, he is still out of action and will not feature against Liverpool on Sunday.

Adams has had disrupted start to life as a Bournemouth player, but there’s no doubting the midfielders’ talent and tenacity.

He is a big miss for Iraola, with the American expected to be back in early March only.

Marcos Senesi

Centre-back Marcos Senesi has been utilized a fair deal by Iraola and will be a miss for the Spanish manager on Sunday.

Senesi has made 17 Premier League appearances so far this season, managing four goal contributions in the process.

However, he is ruled out with suspension due to accumulating five yellow cards.

Lloyd Kelly

Llyod Kelly is no doubt one of Bournemouth’s best players, and as a result has been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

He has only managed 9 Premier League appearances due to consistent injury problems.

Kelly is ruled out for the Sunday’s clash with a thigh injury.

Iraola previously said on the coveted defender (via

‘It’s unlucky for us that he’s been injured a lot recently.’

‘He has things to do before he can join the group.’

AFCON absentees

The Cherries have likewise been affected by the ongoing AFCON tournament.

Dango Ouatttara and Antonine Semenyo will both be absent from the matchday squad as they compete in the AFCON with Burkina Faso and Ghana respectively.
