James Milner is coming at the end of his carer and has been a magnificent servant to Liverpool football club.
A serial winner, he’s won the FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Premier League for Liverpool.
Yet, there are questions over whether he should be given a contract extension at the end of the season.
This campaign, his form has dropped significantly, but on occasions he has still done a great job.
Take his performance against Man City at Anfield, where he dealt with the threat of Foden brilliantly.
His versatility, attitude, experience, and leadership qualities make him a good player to have in the changing room.
It will depend who Liverpool buy this summer, but there will still be a need for James Milner, provided he can still maintain his fitness.
As he’s able to play right back, defensive midfield and centre midfield, Milner still provides plenty of options for Klopp.
Moreover, when he does decide to retire, Milner will be a great asset for Liverpool in some coaching capacity.
Therefore, if Milner is still up to the challenge, and his legs allow him, he should be offered a one year deal.
What do you think? Should Milner get a contract extension or should he retire?
