Luis Dias has endured an injury riddled season, but should be back to full recovery soon.
He is expected to be back in a Liverpool shirt on April 1st, just in time for the Man City match.
However, fighting his way back into the first 11 will be difficult for the Colombian.
The form of the current front three, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah is excellent, and it will take some doing for Diaz to start instead.
Diaz joined Liverpool last January and has been a sensation since.
With his top quality dribbling and attacking mindset he’s one of those players who often gets you off your seat.
At first though, he will have to fight back for his position (left wing) as Nunez has hardly put a foot wrong in recent weeks.
Liverpool’s attacking options must be one of the best in the Premier League.
Besides Gakpo, Nunez and Salah, the reserve front three is Diaz, Roberto Firmino and Jota.
There is also the youngsters, Ben Doak and Fabio Carvalho who might be challenging for places in years to come.
Diaz will still get plenty of minutes to show what he’s worth when he comes back.
And with plenty of must win games for Liverpool, strength in depth will be vital for Champions League qualification.
