Very few people would have seen Liverpool destroying Manchester United 7-0 yesterday.

Then again, last season, Liverpool defeated The Red Devils 4-0 at Anfield and also stuffed them 5-0 at Old Trafford.

It could have been more than 7 too, with Kounate and Roberston both missing easy chances.

It was a masterclass from Liverpool in all areas of the pitch, playing with that ferocious energy we are all used to.

A fine day all around for The Reds, but how will they kick on?

Liverpool’s next game is away against Bournemouth on Saturday at 12:30GMT.

A difficult match, as Bournemouth performed honorably against Arsenal this weekend, going 2-0 up and only losing the game with the final kick.

The reverse fixture was a day for Bournemouth to forget, back in August where they got trounced 9-0.

Yet, now the Cherries are a more organised unit, and have more than a chance to stay up.

Liverpool must remain calm and carry on doing what they’re doing, and just take one game at a time.

Inconsistency has been Liverpool’s achilles heel this season, so their next game will be a big test.

After Bournemouth, Liverpool travel to Madrid to overturn the 3 goal deficit in the Champions League.

One positive of Liverpool in recent weeks is keeping clean sheets, with The Reds now getting 4 in a row.

If the front line is on form, and Liverpool keep a clean sheet, the tie with Real Madrid is certainly not over.
