Brighton and Hove Albion have been on terrific form of late, winning 4 out of their last 6, and scoring plenty of goals.

They currently sit 8th in the table, but have three games in hand on 4th place Tottenham.

Liverpool’s quest for Champions League has been galvanised in the last month, but they face stiff competition.

The main contender is Spurs, but other teams such as Newcastle and even Brighton could finish in that 4th spot.

If Brighton are to win all their games in hand (a big if) they would go 4th, 2 points clear of Spurs.

Since the departure of Potter and the arrival of De Zerbi, the Seagulls have become even stronger and have put in some impressive performances.

Their attacking line of Mitoma, Ferguson and March have been in fine form as of late.

World Cup winner, Alexis Mac Allister has also been playing well, scoring against West Ham at the weekend in a 4-0 rout.

The race for the Champions League spots will be super competitive, and it would be unwise to write Brighton off at this point.

A team that can create chances and score goals, whilst at the same time solid at the back always has a chance.

Hopefully Liverpool can kick on after their 7-0 thrashing and start getting consistent results.

Fortunately Chelsea are not a team who Liverpool have to compete with this year to qualify for the Champions League.

What do you think? Will Liverpool get that fourth spot? Or will Brighton shock everyone?
