It’s been confirmed that Roberto Firmino will leave Anfield this summer on a free transfer.

Therefore, we look at players who could replace Bobby, in that false 9 position.

It looks as if Liverpool already have the perfect replacement in Cody Gakpo.

Moreover, The Reds have many attacking options like Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Fabio Carvalho and even Harvey Elliot.

Therefore, Klopp may decide against a big money move for an attacker, and instead opt to buy midfielders and defenders.

If Liverpool do decide to buy an attacker to replace Firmino here are 5 options to consider:

Harry Kane

The Spurs and England captain may decide to leave Tottenham this summer because the project doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere.

After being dumped out of the Champions League by Milan, Kane is still in search of his first ever trophy in his career.

His contract expires in 2024 so if he puts in a transfer request this summer, his price could be reasonable.

Kane would be perfect for Liverpool, adding 25+ goals a season and he would most certainly strengthen the attacking line.

Bayern Munich are interested in Kane, as well as other Premier League clubs so it could be a difficult transfer to get over the line for Liverpool.

The England captain has scored 18 goals in 26 matches this campaign.

Victor Osimhen

The Nigerian international is on fire for Napoli this season scoring 19 goals in 21 appearances.

He would come with an expensive price tag rumoured to be £100m+ and Manchester United are in the hunt for him too.

His pace, movement and dribbling would be an asset to the Liverpool side.

In the past Osimhen has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League.

He said to The Athletic:

“A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league but now I’m in one of the best leagues in the world which is the Italian Serie A.”

“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day but like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”

Lautaro Martinez

The Inter Milan striker is scoring goals for fun in Italy, scoring 14 in 25 matches.

Martinez also won the World Cup with his native Argentina last year, and won the Serie A with Inter Milan a couple of seasons ago too.

An attacker with great movement and speed, he would fit in nicely at Liverpool.

According to Transfermarkt he’s valued at £75m, so he will not come cheap.

Daichi Kamada

The Japanese international who applies his trade for Eintracht Frankfurt will be a cheaper option in replacing Firmino.

His contract expires at the end of the season, and his wages will not be too high either.

A player who is excellent with both feet, he would provide versatility for Klopp.

He’s pretty fast too, clocking in a top speed of 34.12 km/h this season in the Bundesliga.

Wilfried Zaha

Another player who is available on a free transfer is Wilfried Zaha.

A consistent player for Crystal Palace over the years, Zaha scores goals and provides assists to his team mates.

He could play from the left or even in the false 9 position for Liverpool.

Lightning fast, who can dribble and shoot, Zaha has all the attributes Liverpool need.

Because he would join on a free, his wages might be a concern, being upwards of £150K a week.
